Overview

Development infrastructure built around control.

Boafo Si is a native macOS development and deployment assistant being built by AUVIX. It focuses on the engineering workflow between source development and production release: project discovery, validation, builds, packaging, deployment preparation, rollback readiness, and production verification.

Boafo Si is separate from the Boafo application. Boafo is a professional relationship product; Boafo Si is development infrastructure designed to support the process of building and releasing software.

Challenge

A deployment command is only one part of a safe release.

The difficult part of software deployment is not simply executing a build or upload command. A release also depends on knowing which project is active, which environment is being targeted, what has been validated, what production state currently exists, what is about to change, and how that state can be recovered if activation fails.

Boafo Si is being developed around that operational problem: coordinating repeatable engineering work while keeping consequential production actions explicit and controlled.

Strategy

Automate repeatable work without removing human control.

Boafo Si separates routine development operations from production-changing decisions. Validation, builds, packaging, evidence capture, health checks, and rollback preparation can be coordinated by the application, while production activation is designed around explicit approval and project-specific safety requirements.

The system is therefore not intended to act as an unrestricted deployment bot. Its architecture is centered on controlled orchestration, where the project and environment determine what operations are appropriate and where production-changing actions remain visible before execution.

Design

A native interface for development operations.

Boafo Si is implemented as a native macOS application. Its interface brings project selection, environment state, safety status, deployment readiness, and operational feedback into one focused desktop environment.

The application uses Satoshi as its canonical brand typeface and incorporates dedicated light and dark Boafo brand assets while maintaining a product role distinct from the Boafo application itself.

Technology

Built for the macOS development environment.

The verified application foundation is written in Swift and runs natively on macOS. It works alongside the command-line and shell tooling used by the projects it manages rather than attempting to replace the underlying build, hosting, or deployment platforms.

The planned Apple-native automation architecture also includes AppleScript, Siri, and Shortcuts as additional interaction and orchestration layers. Those integrations remain development work and are not presented here as completed production capabilities.

Execution

The native application is working; release hardening continues.

Boafo Si currently builds and runs as a native macOS application. Its development has established the desktop application foundation, project-oriented controls, safety-state presentation, operational feedback, resource packaging, Satoshi font integration, and dedicated light and dark brand assets.

A packaged-resource launch failure encountered during development was traced to runtime bundle resolution and corrected while preserving the application's fonts and brand assets. The installed development application subsequently launched successfully.

Outcome

A functioning development tool, not a finished commercial release.

Boafo Si represents an implemented native application foundation in active development. No claim is made here about commercial release, users, deployment performance, or market adoption.

Remaining development includes deeper deployment workflow integration, rollback acceptance, Apple-native automation, complete test infrastructure, release signing and notarization, and final distribution hardening.

Technology Stack

Native software connected to established engineering tools.

The current verified foundation consists of a Swift macOS application integrated with local development and shell workflows. Its development architecture covers project discovery, validation, build and packaging orchestration, deployment safety controls, rollback preparation, production verification, and operational status feedback.

Siri, Shortcuts, AppleScript-assisted workflows, final signing, notarization, and complete production deployment acceptance remain part of continuing development rather than finished capabilities.
